Grace and Truth towards Homosexuals

There is a lot of hate towards homosexuals. They are treated as subhuman. They are judged and condemmed by those who call themselves Christians. Yes, homosexuality is a sin, but Christians are not to pass judgment. “Vengeance is mine. I will repay.” says the Lord in Deuteronomy 32:35. They should be welcome into our churches instead of being rejected by them, to give them the opportunity to repent and be forgiven. There is also a lot of rallying support for homosexuals by those who condone their behavior as normal or appropriate. Homosexuals need compassion, but they also need to be held accountable for their sin. We are to hate the sin, but love the sinner. In both the extremes of condemnation and rallying for the homosexual, there is error. Homosexuals need the mercy and unconditional love of Jesus Christ. They need to know they are loved and to repent of their sin. If we include them, while not overlooking their sin, they will be more likely to repent.
